I AM PILGRIM is a series of intimate actions, as performances of ritual and pilgrimage, with the intention of activating and harmonizing the subtle energies that surround us.
All is vibration, all is energy and all is sacred. All creatures embody energy centers, and so does the Earth.
Moreoften these geographical energy centers are found at ancient places of worship, some of which are still active. By veneration and paying tribute through ritual, the centers are activated, and connection between human and Earth is restored.
In the same way, ancient pilgrimage routes act as veins for our planet. By walking along dormant paths, we awaken its energy channels, restoring long lost communication with the consciousness of Earth, empowering and assisting her in remembering her purpose.
In ancient belief systems, snow covered mountains are venerated and considered sacred. Water holds information on a molecular level, and as such, pristine snow, lakes and glaciers are the keepers of the knowledge of our common past and origins.
By collection and transportation of pristine waters, the element becomes activated and regains its long lost knowledge. As a result, Earth is assisted in its process of remembrance, and in the restoration of equilibrium for our common evolution.

Performance series, YO SOY TU (2017)
"With deeds of loving kindness, I purify my body"
Exercise in unconditional love nr. 1 - 1st buddhist precept in positive form.
Friday October 6, 2017, 11:00am
Bosque de Chapultepec, Mexico City
The photograph depicts the largest ahuehuete tree
in the metropolis sacred forest, named The Sergeant, in the early 20th century. In precolonial times, the forest was considered a sacred space, held in high esteem by the emperor Moctezuma, who visited regularly for his baths.
Some people and guardians of the forest have been
said to communicate with the giant ahuehuete, who died tragically as an omen the fall of 1968, during the uprising and massacre in the Mexican capital. Today, only a stump resides where the tree once stood tall,
30m high.
I will spend one day hugging 100 trees in the sacred
forest of Chapultepec, as an offering of unconditional
love.

Performance series, ME-XIHC-CO (2017)
First and second performace
TONANTZIN - TEXCOCO Sunrise, Sunday June 4th 2017, Tepeyac Sunset, Saturday August 12th 2017, Xochimilco Pilgrimage from the tenoch suburb of Chapultepec, along the 12 mysteries, to the chapel of the Virgin of Guadalupe in Mexico City. In pre-hispanic times, the Virgin was venerated by the inhabitants of the Valley of Mexico on the same Mount Tepeyac, under the name of Tonantzin, Our Mother. In all cultures across the world, the Divine Mother has been venerated as a force of creativity and fertility. Our Mother is in agony as a result of our actions and neglect. Alejandro Jodorowsky spoke and said that in order to restore and redirect the energies of Mexico, holy water from the Chapel of the Virgin Guadalupe must be spilt in the Lake Texcoco, on which the ancient capital of Tenochtitlan was built. This performance is the first step in the healing process. |
Third performance
LA POESIA DE LA LUNA 21st of August, Piramide de la Luna, Teotihuàcan Teotihuàcan, ancient city of the Gods, is home to the pyramid of the Sun and the Moon. During the Aztec pilgrimage, before their settlement on the Texcoco Lake and the foundation of Mexico City, they passed through the remnants on this site, becoming inspired by its architecture and decorative elements. On this very auspicious date, as the eclipse culminates over the archeological site at 10.30am, I will ascend the Piràmide de la Luna with three carefully chosen companions, covering each of the four sides before reaching the top. |
Fourth performance
LA MUJER DORMIDA 4th-6th of September 2017, Parque Nacional Iztaccíhuatl - Popocatépetl October 12th, second attempt to the peak at 5230m La mujer dormida, the sleeping woman, is the name given to the volcano Iztaccíhuatl. At 5,230m, it oversees the Valley of central Mexico. As everything that encompasses the cosmos has a conscience and path of evolution, so does the volcano. As a minute action of appreciation, with the purpose of awakening the dormant conscience of Iztaccíhuatl, I will do an ascent with a guide to the summit. There, I will bring prayers and make an offering of seeds, petals and incense. - Yo soy tú - Om that sat - |
Fifth performance
TLATELOLCO 2nd of October, Plaza de las Tres Culturas, Tlatelolco The Plaza de las Tres Culturas embodies the history and spirit of Mexico. At the height of Aztec culture, Tlatelolco was the site of Tenochtitlans´ largest market. Today the archeological remains of sacred temples stand side by side with Mexico´s first church and convent, and the 1960s Tlatelolco housing project. Tlatelolco is also the feminine energy center of Mexico. As an act of remembrance at the 49th anniversary of the Tlatelolco massacre committed against the 1968 movement for the spiritual awakening of Me-xihc-co, I will make a provisional altar on the square and perform silent prayers. |
